It is strange how adversity creates bonds between people in a very short time and so it was whilst in hospital myself last Summer that I happened upon Carole. I always remember her walking up and down cheerily pushing her stand on to which her feed was attached and admiring her positivity. I was also there the day she got the devastating news from her biopsy and and the exemplary way that she dealt with that which like her illness she endured without complaint and with dignity. Her amazing family and loving husband Paul who was there to the end . I was privileged to have known her.
